Data controller
The controller of personal data is MAGAZZENI TAILA, a sole proprietorship that runs Piccolo Paradiso Guest House, based at Via Attilio Bandiera 2, 00053 Civitavecchia (RM), Italy. VAT no. 18095501005, REA RM-1763638. You can contact us at ilpiccoloparadisoaffittacamere@gmail.com, on +39 0766 098012 or by certified email (PEC) at magazzenitaila@pec.it.
What data we process
- Contact details and the content of the messages you send us by email, WhatsApp or phone (for example name, contact details, dates, number of guests, requests).
- Data needed for your stay and for legal obligations: guests' personal details and identity document data, and data for invoicing and the tourist tax.
- Technical browsing data (such as your IP address and browser type), sent automatically when you visit the website.
Purposes and legal bases
- Answering requests for information and bookings: pre-contractual steps taken at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Managing your stay and the contractual relationship (welcome, arrival, departure and communications during your stay): performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Tax, administrative and public security obligations, including reporting guests' details to the police (Questura) as required by Article 109 of the Italian Consolidated Law on Public Security, the tourist tax and bookkeeping: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- Technical operation and security of the website: legitimate interest in offering an available and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not use your data for profiling, advertising or automated decision-making.
The website, links and the map
- The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and uses no cookies, analytics, profiling or advertising tools.
- The WhatsApp, Be Your Home, Instagram and Facebook buttons are simple links: no data is sent to these services until you open them. The "Write your message" tool composes the text in your browser: the website neither sends nor stores anything.
- The Google map is not loaded automatically. Only if you press "Show the map" does your browser connect to Google, which processes data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
Recipients of the data
- Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts the website and processes technical browsing data as a processor.
- Google Ireland Limited, provider of our Gmail mailbox.
- WhatsApp Ireland Limited, provider of the messaging service, if you message us on WhatsApp.
- Be Your Home S.r.l. (Italianway), our property manager, which manages bookings on its own website and, on our behalf, reports guests' details to the police through the Alloggiati Web portal and handles the tourist tax obligations.
- Our tax adviser, for bookkeeping and tax obligations.
- The competent authorities (Questura, Municipality of Civitavecchia, Italian Revenue Agency) where required by law.
Your data is never published or sold.
Transfers outside the European Union
Some providers belong to groups based in the United States: Cloudflare, Inc., Google LLC and, for WhatsApp, WhatsApp LLC and Meta Platforms, Inc. Transfers to these companies rely on the European Commission's adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, in which they participate, and alternatively on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission, as stated in their respective privacy policies.
How long we keep data
- Requests not followed by a booking (email and WhatsApp): 12 months from the last contact, after which they are deleted.
- Messages relating to a stay: 12 months after departure.
- Accounting and tax records (invoices, receipts, registers): 10 years, as required by Article 2220 of the Italian Civil Code.
- Identity documents: we keep no copies; the data is used only to report guests' details to the police through Alloggiati Web.
- Technical browsing data: we do not keep it; it is processed by Cloudflare under its own policies.
Providing your data
Providing your data is optional, but without the necessary data we cannot answer your request or manage your stay. Identity document data is required by law in order to stay at the property.
Your rights
You can ask at any time to access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing or receive it in a portable format, or object to its processing (Arts. 15–22 GDPR), by writing to ilpiccoloparadisoaffittacamere@gmail.com or magazzenitaila@pec.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
